Before you begin

  • Open Settings → Integrations → Telegram in the workspace you want to connect.
  • You need the Telegram app (phone or desktop) and admin rights in any channel or group you want to connect.
  • Each connect code is valid for 15 minutes and only works for the workspace that created it.

Path A: guided connect (recommended)

  1. 1

    Start

Click Connect. A code like PSV-XXXXXX, a QR code, and an Open Telegram button appear.

  2. 2

    Open the bot

Scan the QR code, tap Open Telegram, or send the code to @PostsivaBot yourself.

  3. 3

    Pick a chat

The bot replies with Add to channel, Add to group, and Use this chat buttons. Pick one and approve the admin rights Telegram asks for.

  4. 4

    Done

The Postsiva window updates by itself: first “Linked as @you”, then the chat that was connected.

Path B: manual connect

  1. 1

    Add the bot as admin

In your channel or group, add @PostsivaBot as an administrator with the Post messages and Delete messages rights.

  2. 2

    Post the command

Copy the command from the Manual tab and post it in that chat, for example /connect PSV-XXXXXX.

  3. 3

    Confirm

The bot replies in the chat and the chat appears in Postsiva within a few seconds.

Chat types

  • Channel: Postsiva posts as the channel. The bot must be an admin with Post messages.
  • Group: the bot posts as itself in the group. Admin rights are recommended so posts can be managed.
  • DM: “Use this chat” connects your private chat with the bot, which is handy for testing or personal notes.

Managing chats

  • Rename: give a chat a display name used only inside Postsiva.
  • Re-check: refreshes the bot's rights and the chat details from Telegram.
  • Disconnect: the bot leaves the chat and the chat is removed from this workspace.

Troubleshooting

  • Code expired: codes last 15 minutes. Click Generate a new code and try again.
  • Missing rights: make the bot an admin with the Post messages right, then click Re-check.
  • Chat already connected to another workspace: disconnect it there first, then connect it again here.
  • Bot removed: someone removed @PostsivaBot from the chat. Add it back and connect again, or disconnect the chat.
